Chantal Strasburger

After graduating from Washington University in St. Louis in May 2013 with a BFA in Fashion Design and a minor in Chinese, Chantal left her charming little hometown of Austin, TX for the bright lights and 24/7 bodegas of Brooklyn, NY. While there, Chantal wrote for both print and digital at Nylon Magazine and Teen Vogue and was an associate editor at Sweet—the first-ever media brand to launch on Snapchat Discover.

Chantal then fulfilled a life-long dream in 2017 of moving to London, where she started Read Receipts, a custom hand-embroidery company, and freelanced for branding agency Redscout.

Chantal is now back in Austin, Texas where she has launched The Chantal Crop and Chantal Ceramics. So if you ever need anything in the realm of embroidery, writing, ceramics, or scrunchies—she’s your gal.
